"We stayed for an "old fashioned" Christmas as a large group of 14 adults. It's a truly wonderful historic house, but with all modern amenities, for a family celebration or holiday. Plenty of bathrooms & toilets. With many good socialising areas. Fantastic log burners & fires, as well as central heating. We never dined out once as the kitchen is great with everything you need. Contact with Charlie & the owner was fantastic from beginning to end. Very responsive if needed. Would definitely return!"

"What an incredible experience it was to stay here. I honestly could not speak more highly of the accommodation or of Charlie & Ernie.
They did absolutely everything to make our stay nothing short of magical and both gave us the warmest of welcome. Food, communication, cleanliness, friendliness and so on was all spectacular. This is genuinely one of the most interesting places I have ever stayed and Charlie even gave us a tour of the whole building and told us all about its history. Of which, it is so entrenched with history and character and I will definitely be visiting again. “May friends coming through me many and true”
